Adaptations

Since I deal with people from all over the world, there are many times in which I’m the second or third person a client has turned to for help on a design. Thus far, my track record is pretty good in terms of being the last person they turn to. My background is heavily routed in photo-manipulation, so I feel very comfortable working with (or around) the material that other people have created. Sometimes I’m given a template and asked to change certain colors in a piece but to maintain the overall design. Other times, I’m handed a piece of clipart and asked to build upon and around it. The following pieces all feature parts of someone else’s work as well as significant changes done by me.

The client wanted a "chain gun" design for the heads of his double bass drums. The image on the left is what he gave me as a reference point. The center and right images are the completed designs for each head.

The Montclair State University Police Department wanted to try out some designs for new patrol cars before having them made. They provided the artwork on the left and I did several variations like the one on the right.
